From sailing aboard our catamaran to swimming alongside tropical fish, here’s what you can expect when you join us.

Start Your Adventure at Ko Olina Marina

Your day begins at Ko Olina Marina, where you’ll check in with our friendly team before boarding Hololeʻa Kai, our spacious 53-foot sailing catamaran. Our check-in staff is there to answer any last-minute questions, help you get settled, and make sure you’re ready for an amazing day on the water.

Once everyone is aboard, our captain and crew will provide a safety briefing and walk you through the day’s itinerary. For your comfort, Hololeʻa Kai is equipped with two onboard restrooms, so you’ll have everything you need throughout your adventure.

For added peace of mind, every captain and crew member is lifeguard certified and CPR/AED certified, ensuring you’re in experienced and capable hands from the moment you step aboard.

Sail Along Oʻahu’s Beautiful West Coast

Leaving the marina, you’ll enjoy a scenic sail along the breathtaking Waiʻanae Coast. Sit back, relax, and soak in panoramic views of Oʻahu’s mountains, crystal-clear water, and rugged coastline.

Keep your eyes on the horizon, you never know what wildlife might make an appearance. Depending on the season, guests often spot:

  • Hawaiian spinner dolphins
  • Hawaiian green sea turtles
  • Flying fish
  • Seabirds
  • Humpback whales during whale season (December through April)

Arrive at our snorkeling spot

Our snorkeling destination is typically Kahe Point, better known as Electric Beach. One of Oʻahu’s most vibrant snorkeling locations.

This area is famous for its incredible marine life thanks to the warm water released from the nearby power plant. The warmer water encourages the growth of algae, which attracts countless species of fish and creates a thriving underwater ecosystem. It’s one of the reasons Electric Beach is such a popular spot for both visitors and local snorkelers.

Before entering the water, our crew will help fit you with everything you need, including:

  • High-quality snorkel masks
  • Prescription masks for guests who need them
  • Fins in a variety of sizes
  • Life jackets for every guest

If it’s your first time snorkeling, don’t worry! Our crew will teach you the basics and make sure you’re comfortable before you jump in.

Once you’re in the water, the adventure really begins. Colorful schools of tropical fish, beautiful coral formations, and the occasional Hawaiian green sea turtle make every snorkel unforgettable.

To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, there are always one to two certified lifeguards in the water with guests, guiding the group, pointing out marine life, and providing assistance whenever needed. Whether you’re a confident swimmer or trying snorkeling for the very first time, you’ll have experienced professionals nearby throughout your time in the water.

Enjoy a Taste of Hawaiʻi

After snorkeling, it’s time to refuel with a delicious Hawaiian-inspired lunch, giving you a taste of local island flavors while relaxing aboard Hololeʻa Kai.

Pair your meal with complimentary juice, soda, or water, or stop by our full-service bar for something a little more festive. We offer local beers, wine, champagne, and handcrafted cocktails, including one of our guest favorites, the Naked Pirate. It’s the perfect tropical drink to sip while enjoying the ocean breeze.

Relax on the Sail Back

After lunch, kick back and enjoy the peaceful sail back to Ko Olina Marina.

Stretch out on the deck, take in the sunshine, and enjoy the incredible views of Oʻahu’s west coast. It’s not uncommon to spot dolphins or sea turtles on the journey home, making the return trip just as exciting as the sail out.
